What inspired this song?

"It’s basically talking about replaying a good memory over and over and wishing you could relive that moment and do it all over again together."
"It’s about my pet Goldfish that died when I was in middle school. Also, the guys wanted me to write a pop-punk song." — Casey

Is this song a particular band member's contribution?

"We all contribute about the same on all of the songs, no matter the genre; which is definitely an interesting dynamic within the band. We all got hammered a couple nights a week for about a month and really dove into every note to push the limits of our writing and composition. The song really showcases our ability to write as a band. And it's probably the first song we got back from our producer without a single edit on composition. The finished product is almost the same as the original composition."

Tell me about working with Tom Flynn?

"He is the director and editor of the music video. We flew out to New York to his studio and team to shoot all the band shots for a full day. The following day we traveled with Tom with the two actors which was a blast — the b-roll came out incredible. He has directed videos for Lamb of God, All That Remains, Hopesfall, Skyharbor, Angel ViValdi, Covet, etc."

Where did you guys record this song?

"In San Antonio, where we flew Nick Scott out to track instruments and vocals at our private studio we built. This is our hub where we always meet to complete and finalize our song(s). Very standard practice for most of our key songs."

With powerhouse production from Nick Scott, known for his work with bands like Emmure, Blessthefall, and I See Stars, and music video director Tom Flynn, known for his work with bands like Lamb of God, All That Remains, Hopesfall, Skyharbor, Angel ViValdi, Covet, The Things We Did promises to be a pop-punk banger you won't want to miss.

After several playthroughs of this song I found it to be a ride through the highs and lows of reminiscing about a special moment that seems to have imprinted itself on the band's soul. It's like diving headfirst into a whirlwind of emotions, where every lyric is a brushstroke painting a vivid portrait of longing and nostalgia.

Picture this: you're lying awake, lost in a sea of memories that refuse to fade. The memories of "that day" are etched into your mind like a film reel on repeat, each scene playing out in crystal-clear detail. You're tossing and turning, staring at the ceiling, unable to escape the magnetic pull of the past.

With each verse, you're drawn deeper into the narrator's world, feeling their desperation to rewind time and rewrite history. There's a raw honesty in their words, a vulnerability that tugs at your heartstrings and refuses to let go.

But amidst the yearning and regret, there's also a glimmer of hope—a belief that maybe, just maybe, there's a chance to set things right. It's a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there's always a flicker of light waiting to guide us home.
