CiViLiZED NATiVES was formed in 1994 by Pensacola Glenn Vignolo and former drummer Dave "Mack" Blauveldt, to feature Vignolo's original material, Rock songs "rich in unforgettable melodies". The group quickly garnered local interest and were requested regularly at a variety of entertainment venues in Pensacola. In 2000, they released their first CD, “Closing In," which featured intricate harmonies and exceptional musicianship — trademarks of a band whose musical roots run deep into the musical past. Their song list is as diverse as its members, who are truly some of the top musicians in the Pensacola area. They perform songs from artists such as The Beatles, Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Who, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Roy Orbison Meatloaf and so much more.
CiViLiZED NATiVES performance resume includes the Pensacola Interstate Fair, The Vinyl, Pensacola Bands on the Beach, Blackwater Music Festival, Pensacola Blues on the Bay, Paddy O'Leary's, Calverts in the Heights, and Pensacola's legendary Goatlips Chew and Brewhouse, just to name a few. The band is currently working on their second album and hoping for a release sometime next year.
